The most recent poll in [info]best_thing_ever (an awesome community with weekly polls that try to decide what the best thing ever is) was a choice between these two things: A Herd of Cyborg Unicorns or A Swarm of Magic Robots. I thought the choice was obvious: the unicorns. They see all, judge all, and a herd is definitely better than a swarm, which implies insects. Insects are bad. Most of the voters have agreed with me so far, but I was a little concerned with someone's comment:

"I like to think Buddy Christ is riding at the head of the Cyborg Unicorn herd.

Possibly on the back of a winged velociraptor.
"

My first thought was "Christ on the all seeing, all judging unicorn would be appropriate, what with him being God and all"
My second thought was "oh shit, VELOCIGOOSE!!!" Christ is coming to attack us with knives...

Since your accomplishments are seldom noticed,
and you are rarely thought of, you are expendable.
That doesn't mean your job isn't important but if you
were in Star Trek you would be killed off in the first
episode you appeared in.

I am so totally DONE
Now I'm just waiting around for graduation, which I still have tickets for if anyone wants to come down :)

Oh, by the way...
does anyone like frogs?
Seriously, if you would like two pet fire-bellied toads, they are yours for free.
All they eat are crickets, and crickets are uber-cheap. They're really easy to take care of.

**EDIT**
Never mind...the frogs have a home now! Yay!

Last night was Nightwish.
Tonight was Star Trek.
I have experienced so much awesome in one day that I do not know what to do with myself!
Let me just say that Trek was AMAZING BEYOND BELIEF.

Okay everybody, time to stop laughing, cause I'm being serious. It was funny (half trek jokes, half general humor), surprisingly funny, but at the same time serious with really good acting. And Dr.Carson Beckett (Stargate Atlantis) made a cameo appearance! I don't have enough words to describe how awesome it is, except I really wanna go watch it five more times. I am set on seeing it again in imax as soon as I get back to Louisville.

To echo Tk's post,

NIGHTWISH IS SUPER SPECIAL CHOCOLATY FUDGE-COATED SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME!!!

Annette was very blonde and wearing the strangest red dress-pants thing I have ever seen, and that was odd, but the band was fantastic! And Volbeat, who opened for them, was also fantastic. I have never before seen a crowd mosh to Johnny Cash :D The concert was at Club Oasis, which was really close to my house! What the heck? Wouldn't I know if there was a club really close to my house? Craziness.

But back to Nightwish... Here is the official playlist of the night:
  1. 7 Days to the Wolves
  2. Dead to the World
  3. Amaranth
  4. Romanticide
  5. The Islander
  6. The Poet and the Pendulum
  7. Nemo
  8. Sahara
  9. While Your Lips Are Still Red
  10. Dark Chest of Wonders
  11. Creek Mary's Blood (complete with the Native American and his flute!)
  12. I Wish I Had An Angel
It was so fun, I feel like I haven't been to a concert in a really long time, though that's probably not true at all. And it went by so fast! It was over well before I was ready. And now I'm back at Centre and must do some hardcore work to get ready for the end of the (last) semester (ever).

This weekend was pretty nice. I chose to reject all homework including practicing for the way-too-eminent piano recital and studying for the test I had this morning. The test was not too bad, but had some pretty weird questions. I didn't fail and that's all that matters. The recital is next Monday. I am not looking forward to it.

But I digress...Thursday/Friday at midnight I saw Wolverine! It was a very good movie. Not Super Special Awesome or anything, but very good! Deadpool and Gambit were excellent :). The plot kept you interested and there was a lot of good action. I recommend it! I skipped out on most of my classes and work on Friday to come home. Then up to Indianapolis for a wacky YuGiOh tournament and lots of anime and Stargate.

Speaking of anime, once I got the codecs worked out, I started watching Shikabane Hime and it's quite good! Bleach and Naruto didn't come out with new chapters on Friday and it made me sad. The new Dollhouse episode was so exciting! I really hope it doesn't end up getting cancelled. I really love the show, and now Alan Tudyk (Wash from Firefly) is in it!

Only one week of class left...
Speaking of which!
If anyone wants to come watch me be released from school life on May 24th, speak now or forever hold your peace!
It'll be exciting! For me, at least, and I'd love to see my friends.

A post!
Allan just posted wondering where everyone was. I figured this would be the best way to respond.
I really am on here quite frequently, though I don't have much to say. I spend my time in class, doing as little homework as possible, and reading manga.
I'm in class right now, "watching" a video about Johnny Depp's character in the movie "Blow" , unsupervised, because my professor is apparently out of town.

Spring break was pretty awesome!
There was a magnificent journey down to Georgia, where I got to see my neighbor Katie and Amanda and Caleb and Erin and Allan and Tanner!
I hadn't seen any of them in so long! It was so good to talk with everyone again.
And I discovered that Rock Band, Kirin, that anime store in the mall, and various other things are pretty awesome. Yay for new things!

In other news...
Bleach is going into filler again. The manga is still pretty awesome but the anime sucks pretty hard. I'll probably keep watching it until the end but it's so sad how far downhill it's gone.
Naruto, while not that great of a show, is a really great manga. I enjoy reading it every week.
Fullmetal Alchemist 2 is premiering in Japan on Friday! I'm so excited! The series is being redone only is following the manga this time. The anime was excellent and the manga is equally excellent (or maybe slightly better since it's the original) and I'm uber excited.
Dragonball the live action movie is coming out a week from friday. I was sad that, though I know a lot about the franchise, I'd never actually seen/read very much of it. So I started reading the manga online. And it is really hard to get through. It's childish, simplistic, and has stupid humor and characters. But I must persist! I want to be familiar with it just because it really is the most popular of the genre. It's kind of like reading bad fan fiction, so I have a high tolerance for the idiocy. But really...how did this get so big? Anyway, the movie looks like it might be a little weird, but it could be good. Maybe?
Dollhouse, while I thought it started out rather mediocre, has really picked up. I enjoy it immensely. Way to go, Joss Whedon! <3
Stargate Universe released a teaser trailer recently. It looks like Battlestar Galatica. This worries me, as I wasn't all that fond of BSG. (Though, it did just end the other day and I need to rent/Hulu the last season or so. Again, it's not my favorite thing ever but it's one of those things I feel I need to watch until the end) I must have faith in the SG franchise! I'm so glad it's continuing, so I must hope it will live up to it's predecessors. If they can keep the storylines original (something SGA failed to do in it's latter seasons) I think it'll make it, at least by my standards anyway.
Watchmen is an excellent movie. Everyone should see it. It's not really an enjoyable movie to watch (though the graphics and cinematography are beautiful and worth it by themselves) but I love the theme of the movie as a whole. How far would you go to save the world? Is the world worth saving? What is a hero? Are all truths worth knowing? Oh, and Rorshach is my hero.

I need/want to start reading again. Real books, not manga.
I also want to start writing again. I have so little inspiration these days. Maybe it's not really the reason I stopped and is really the problem. Whatever the reason, it's something I love and I should keep at it and not let myself get discouraged.

Alphonse, my new HP laptop, has returned! He needed some parts replaced, and I had to send him back to HP. But now he is home and healthy! And now Starcraft and Guild Wars are back and will hopefully see some action. While I'm not doing homework. Which is most of teh time. I just don't care about school anymore. My favorite class is the one that's not my major, my psychobiology class on drugs. It's so interesting! And again I wonder if maybe I should have stuck with psychology instead of compute science. Or maybe neither of these things is what I should be doing. Oh life, why are you so confusing!

I am counting down until May 24th!
Freedom!
I can't wait.
Again, there is an open invitation to come and see me get a little piece of paper and leave school forever. So let me know! I only have so many tickets. I would be really excited if my friends could come!
